Beauty products are made with lots of chemicals that are both hazardous to our health and the environment. The EPA has stated that one of the top 10 reasons for poor indoor air quality is artificial fragrances. Synthetic fragrances are also knows causes in health conditions such as asthma, allergies, and migraine headaches
Frangrances About 80-90% of fragrances are synthetic, meaning they have been synthesized from petroleum not natural sources. Commonly found chemicals in fragrance products are:
- acetone
- benzene
- phenol
- toluene
- benxyl
- acetate
- limonene
